MSSC STRUGGLE REPORT (¼¿ï, ÑõðÈàØ, 5.23)

Yesterday three migrant workers followed an invitation made by Da-hamkke (All Together). In Yonsei University Alex Callinicos (Workers Socialist Party, UK) gave a lecture about the present political situation in the US, Europe and especially in the Middle East. But first of all he said nothing really new. But beside it he told the audience several incorrect nonsense stuff: For example, asked about a possible future society, the socialism ¡°democratic planned¡±, he quoted K. Marx. ¡°We will have an free association for all people.¡± The correct quotation, by the way, is: ¡°In place of the old bourgeois society, with its classes and class antagonisms, we shall have an association in which the free development of each is the condition for the free development of all.¡± But Marx was not meaning the socialism, he wrote this 1848 in the ¡°Communist Manifesto¡±, chapter 2 (here you can read it in Korean), about the communism, because he knew very well that the socialism is an class society, precisely because the socialism is just a transformation society from capitalism to communism. And communism is that what should we aim at. To struggle only for socialism would mean to stop on the middle of the way, and this will be sooner or later the death sentence for that kind ¡°socialism¡± – the collapse of the states of the former East Block (in Europe) proved this! In socialism there will be classes and class struggle. Class struggle only will end with the abolishing of all classes. Communism main aim is to achieve this, the real freedom for everyone, but Callinicos wants to tell us that already in the socialism we will achieve this kind of society. This is just deceiving – if not even worse! And North Korea, by the way, is no state capitalist country! Just a red colored feudal society and of course it has nothing to do with socialism or even communism (the bourgois media of the tells us daily!), not at all!
After the afternoon in Yonsei Univ, we went to the neighbourhood area of Jogyesa, the main Buddhist temple downtown Seoul. Here, we already wrote yesterday, we participated on the last and main celebration of Buddha¡¯s birthday. The Nepalese comrades had a booth where we sold new buttons, food, collected money for a comrade who is in hispital now and needs – possibly expensive – medical treatment and delivered our propaganda material. Only after a short while all our leaflets, in Korean, Nepalese, but also in English were ruuned out. The whole event was a good opportunity for migrant workers from Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand and China to meet each other in a great atmosphere without the threat of immigration and riot police. In the final real colorfull Lotus Lantern Procession, many paricipants carried partly meters high shining paper figures, from Dongdae-mun to Jogesa also many migrant workers participated.
Finaly here you can see our yesterday¡¯s article for example in the USA and here you can watch Hong Kil-dong¡¯s movie, screened yesterday on the Sarangbang Human Rights Film Festival. And here new ammunition for our anti-war struggle!
